After doing a tour of the town and finding only Greene King or fairly rubbish  pubs serving rubbish ale and thinking only weatherspoons was serving a variety  of  ales I found the Fountain selling Badger Ales . An oasis in a desert a real fountain of delight . Sorry Chichester a city as old as you are should have as good a selection of pubs as York or Norwich , you are really not a great place to enjoy yourself . So if I ever visit again there's only one pub I will head for .

Waited 35 minutes to eat flavourless, bland fish that tasted like it was cooked in soapy water. Absolutely tasteless and a complete joke. 5 of us went out for a family meal and no one of us enjoyed. Do not recommend.

Normally we go to Confucius in Cooper Street, but decided to give this a go as we were parked in Southgate..welll, right pleased we did. The food was great and such a good selection of ales, (not that I could drink them as driving). Very pleasing atmosphere, friendly warm ad lighthearted. Will go in there when I train/bus to Chi.
    Definitely worth looking at!!!

This pub is a real old town pub, very busy with lunchtime trade and early evening drinkers. We had our office after party down there, having tried the Slug and Lettuce (nowhere to sit) and Trents (packed with posers). Very friendly, good time had by all. Reccomended if you are out shopping with the missus on Saturday, and need break.
